A 'Guide for the foreigner' made available in Pescara to help non-EU immigrants in difficult conditions
6,000 copies of the booklet have been printed for distribution to the immigrant community
A ‘Guide for the foreigner’ designed to enable immigrants to fully exercise their rights and obligations was presented at the prefecture of Pescara on 29th July.
Thanks to this initiative immigrants are offered the opportunity of both getting better informed about the offices delivering a wide range of service - covering tax, employment, health assistance, school and public security issues – and gaining information on the proper procedure to accomplish a number of formalities.
The publication was developed by the prefecture of Pescara in collaboration with the provincial police headquarters (Questura), the Province, the Chamber of Commerce, the Local Tax Office, the provincial Labour Directorate, the National Social Security Institute (Inps), the Local Health Unit (Ausl), the municipality of Pescara and other major municipalities in the province.
6,000 copies of the guidebook translated into English, French and Russian have been printed for distribution to the immigrant community by the participating municipalities and agencies.
