The Istituto Superiore Antincendi to host the 'Community Mechanism Induction' course
It is a European civil protection training course exclusively delivered in Italy and Germany
The Istituto Superiore Antincendi (Isa) will host the 'Community Mechanism Induction Course', a European civil protection training course. It is the first course offered within the eighth cycle of the European Civil Protection Training Programme. This programme has been structured as an international European system of civil protection, the so-called mechanism, by the European Union for almost a decade. Participation is only open to the personnel units who have followed the Community Training Programme.
Training courses are organised by the Isa in collaboration with the Department of Civil Protection within the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and the Sant'Anna University of Pisa, as EU training contractor.
The organisation of exercises, which are the core activity of the courses, is almost totally provided by the Isa.
The 'Community Mechanism Induction’ courses are exclusively delivered in Italy, at the Isa, and in Germany, in Hamburg, at the Fire Service College.
The opening ceremony was attended by the Head of the Department for Fire Service, Public Rescue and Civil Defence, Francesco Paolo Tronca.
