A ‘Vademecum’ for voting

A ‘Vademecum’ for voting provides information on the institutional procedure to be followed by the electoral body. It is a reasoned collection of information intended for supporting the procedures of direct democracy and helping citizens to clear up any possible doubt to answer specific questions. An in-depth explanation of several issues is also given. 

The ‘Vademecum’ has been conceived is an informative tool by the www.interno.it website press room to give the voter detailed information about:
• when, where and how to vote
• the right of medical device dependant citizens to vote at their domicile
• the electoral ballot given to citizens in polling stations
• the Italian voters residing abroad: the procedure for voting by mail
• what to do if your electoral certificate has been deteriorated, lost or stolen
• special terms for voters traveling by rail, on highways and by sea 

The ‘Vademecum’ also focuses on the procedures concerning political parties or groups:
• how to submit candidatures for the electoral colleges abroad
• electioneering and exit polls, use of mass media (terms and conditions)
• timetable of main fulfillments
• instructions for the preparation and admission of candidatures for the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies
• instructions for the submission and admission of candidatures for electoral colleges abroad
