Historical Archives of elections. An on line database of poll results since the 1946 Constituent Assembly election until nowadays

The Historical Archives of elections provide, for dissemination purposes only, a database containing poll results including both the overall aggregate data and detailed information referring to any single municipality and consular office abroad. The Archives contains the poll results of the following elections: 1946 Constituent Assembly, 1948 general elections, regional elections general cycles held since 1970 and 1979 European elections. All information are drawn from the documentation kept by the Central Directorate for Electoral Services. 

The Archives also include official data on the proclamations of elected representatives gathered from the report minutes of polling stations, from the ad hoc offices established, at the Court of Cassation, at the Court of Appeal or Tribunals, according to the type of election. 

In order to provide more exhaustive and detailed information at local level, ‘non official’ data provided by each municipality, through the prefectures and, if provided for, by the consular offices, to the Interior Ministry have also been entered.
