Municipal and provincial statutes
In accordance with the constitutional reform of 2001, local authorities are free to adopt their own legal system by searching for solutions that enhance the cultural heritage and traditions of local communities, thereby satisfying as much as possible their needs and decisions.
The Ministry of Interior is charged with handling the Official collection of municipal and provincial statutes. This specific task is assigned to the Office for the Collection and Conservation of Municipal and Provincial Statutes within the Central Directorate for Local Self-Government Authorities.
